About Me
As far back as I can remember, I have been a friend who was always ready to lend a listening ear. As the years passed, I discovered the joy of helping others work through difficult times which led me into this rewarding career as a therapist. I work with adolescents and adults to bring healing to the painful life experiences which cause disruption to their present. It brings me great joy to watch my clients experience freedom from the past.
Education & Experience
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida (MH21905). I am trained in EMDR and currently in consultation leading to certification. I have completed training in Level 1 Gottman Couples Counseling, Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship (EFT – a highly research-based couples treatment model), and training on other evidenced-based family therapy theories and interventions. I am a certified facilitator of Prepare/Enrich facilitator, an evidence-based assessment tool for premarital and marriage enrichment. I am also a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and offer faith-integrated therapy upon request.
