Rachelle Dunn, LPC
About Me
Breaking free from unhealthy patterns in our lives can be difficult. Emotions may feel out-of-control at times, and self-defeating thoughts may run amok in our minds. We might feel trapped in isolation, unhealthy relationship cycles or struggle to move beyond past hurts, traumatic experiences or our own mistakes. There is hope. It is possible to heal from the past, gain control of our emotions, and develop new ways of thinking or relating to others. I would love to have the opportunity to walk with you on your journey towards increased peace of mind, meaningful connections and renewed purpose. If spirituality is important in your life, we will integrate your beliefs into the therapy process.
Education & Experience
I have a Master's Degree in Counseling from Regent University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Evangel University. I have over 25 years of experience counseling individuals and families which has given me a depth of knowledge of common internal and relational struggles and evidence based interventions, including EMDR, CBT, DBT and multiple family therapy modalities. I am a certified EMDR therapist and have received advanced EMDR training in the areas of equine-assisted EMDR, anger, chronic pain, ego-state therapy and working with children. I am also certified in PCIT, Eagala and TeleMental Health and am an approved clinical supervisor for counselors seeking LPC certification in the state of Virginia.
