Online Therapy

About Me

I'm a licensed therapist who works with adults processing trauma, relational wounds, and the long aftermath of growing up in environments that didn't quite let them feel safe. My specialty is EMDR, an evidence-based therapy that helps your nervous system process what your mind has already figured out.
A lot of the people I work with have been in therapy before. They have insight. They know their patterns. But the reactions, anxiety, and emotional triggers still haven't shifted. EMDR is often what finally moves those pieces.
I work with people healing from childhood trauma, addiction, codependency, and the kind of chronic anxiety that lives in the body. My style is warm and direct. I'll meet you where you are, I'll tell you honestly when something is or isn't working, and I'll bring real clinical depth to whatever you're carrying.
All sessions are virtual. I'm licensed in Connecticut and New York.

Education & Experience

I earned my Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2014. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut. I completed my EMDR Basic Training through the EMDR Institute in 2022, and I continue to deepen my work through advanced EMDR training and ongoing clinical consultation.
Over the past 14 years in private practice, I've worked with adults across a wide range of presentations, with particular depth in relational trauma, addiction recovery, and the lasting effects of childhood adversity. Before founding Empowered Minds Mental Health Counseling, I worked in outpatient MICA (Mentally ill chemical abuse) programs, treating individuals with a wide range of co-occurring disorders.
