About Me

“...Connecting is the nature of human nature...the loss of connecting is our deepest trauma, the trauma behind all traumas; and our life agenda is to restore connecting.” - Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt Life is a voyage, and like any journey across open waters, it is filled with both calm seas and turbulent storms. The journey is not about avoiding rough waters but learning to sail through them, harnessing the innate healing powers of the mind, body, and spirit. As a dedicated Licensed Independent Social Worker, Rebecca serves as a steady and compassionate guide, helping others navigate the rough waters of life and steer toward healing and connection. She believes that while trauma may be an inevitable part of the human experience, healing is always possible—and no one should have to sail those challenging seas alone. Rebecca integrates a holistic approach, recognizing that the body is often the anchor point for healing. With specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, she guides clients in navigating the deep, uncharted waters of childhood abuse, neglect, abandonment, grief, loss, and much more. Each session becomes a steady wind in the sails, moving clients toward their authentic selves by helping them understand how past experiences ripple into their present and future. Relationship dynamics are also a vital part of the journey. As a certified Imago Relationship Therapist, Rebecca works with couples to transform conflict into healing and growth — mending the sails torn by miscommunication and disconnection. Sexual intimacy is also a crucial part of relationships. Rebecca is a Certified Sex Therapist offering support to couples and individuals grappling with issues surrounding sexual function and development, pleasure, and sexual harm and abuse. At the heart of her therapeutic approach lies the belief that connection is the anchor of human existence. Whether working with veterans, first responders, or adult individuals and couples at various life stages, her calm, collaborative approach creates a safe harbor where clients can explore their stories, address anxiety, depression, PTSD, and attachment wounds, and rediscover the currents of connection that lead to greater well-being. With compassion as her compass and a relational frame guiding her practice, she journeys alongside each client, helping them navigate the waves of life and anchor themselves in a future where healing, connection, and authenticity are possible. Whether facing the fiercest storms or seeking smoother waters, she is honored to walk with others as they chart a path toward healing and a more connected life.
