About Me

I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety and depression, and am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), an evidence-based treatments for healing from traumatic experiences and PTSD. My practice is influenced by elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, Schema Therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies. This often includes addressing family, career, and relationship issues within the treatment as well as recognizing thinking and/or behavior which may be harmful or holding you back. I am a kind, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapist who strives to nurture relationships with clients that are collaborative, and safe enough to tolerate direct but gentle confrontation when appropriate. Psychotherapy provides a unique opportunity to transcend patterns that are holding you back from achieving your goals, and realizing your greatest potential. Together we will determine the approach and pace that will work best for you.

Education & Experience

I received my Masters in Social Work from The Silberman School of Social work at Hunter College, and have had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Before receiving my MSW, I was a special education teacher. Currently, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is certified in EMDR, CPT (cognitive processing therapy, a form of CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Social Skills Training for the Seriously Mentally Ill.
