About Me

I’m a trauma therapist who is passionate about walking with people as they make sense of their
stories and find healing in the places that hurt most. I’m EMDR Certified and a Registered Play
Therapist, and I approach my work through the lens of attachment, family of origin, and the
power of safe, connected relationships. I believe our early experiences shape not only how we
relate to others, but also how we understand ourselves — and that with the right support, those
patterns can shift. Thanks to what we know from neuroscience, we now understand that the brain
is capable of change across the lifespan. When we engage our story, particularly in the context of
a safe therapeutic relationship, we can literally rewire neural pathways shaped by trauma and
early attachment wounds.
In my work, I enjoy incorporating expressive and creative modalities such as sand tray and art-
based therapies, especially when words aren’t enough to tell the full story. These approaches
engage both hemispheres of the brain — integrating emotional, sensory, and narrative
experiences — and support healing in ways that are developmentally attuned and deeply
regulating. Whether we’re engaging in EMDR, play therapy, expressive work, or talk therapy, I
strive to meet each person where they are with empathy, curiosity, and compassion.
As a Christian, I also offer biblical counseling for clients who desire to integrate their faith into
the therapeutic process. However, I deeply respect each person’s beliefs and background — and
if you do not identify with the Christian faith, you can rest assured that my values will never be
imposed on you.
I work with clients across the lifespan — including children, teens, adults, parents, and families
— using developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed approaches. My goal is always to
provide a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported in your healing. When we feel
emotionally safe, the nervous system can shift out of survival mode, and the brain can begin to
reorganize itself in more adaptive, connected ways.
Outside of therapy, I’m a single mom by choice through the miracle of embryo adoption. I have
an amazing little girl who keeps me on my toes and fills my world with joy. Like most parents,
“free time” is a pretty rare thing, but when I do find it, you’ll probably catch me sipping coffee
(always coffee), reading up on therapy approaches (yes, I’m that kind of nerd), or unwinding
with an episode of Law & Order or Gilmore Girls. I love being outside — though as a
Houstonian, I’ll admit I don’t love the bugs or the heat, which makes time outside a little
complicated!
At the heart of it all, I love connecting with people. Whether I’m sitting on the playroom floor
with a child, helping an adult process the weight of their story, or supporting families through
hard seasons, it’s a privilege to do this work. I would be beyond honored to connect with you.
