About Me
I specialize in complex trauma, incident trauma, attachment, and addictions. I have a firm belief that all people, no matter what they have experienced or what they believe to be true about themselves, are capable of moving beyond their past in order to thrive in the present with genuine self-love and a renewed sense of joy in life.
Education & Experience
I am also certified in Brainspotting and am in my second year of training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I consider myself a life-long learner and rarely go more than a few months without engaging in additional trainings. I have completed advanced level EMDR trainings in addictions, attachment, Ego States work, depression, shame, perpetrating parts of self, among others. I am also trained in CBT and have taught in a group IOP/PHP treatment center.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
Currently I divide my professional time between private practice clients and providing group and individual therapy to men and women in the Kane County Jail Recovery Pods, located in St Charles, Illinois. I am an EMDRIA approved EMDR Consultant. Please see my website: mylotustherapy.com.
