About Me

Richard Winning has worked in the space of first responders for twenty years. He has worked in the prisons, alongside police, in residential and hospital levels of care. All with a goal of working with individuals on the worst days of their lives, now he seeks to help those that respond and have engaged in service to this country and their communities as a whole.

Education & Experience

Masters in social work, LICSW in Mass, LCSW in CT,
He has worked with children, families, and adults all who have experienced trauma either physical, emotional, or observed for 20+years. He spent the last 7 years responding with police, fire and ems to people experience acute psychiatric crisis and had developed a deep understanding of first responder culture and tailored his practice to treat first responder groups, military personal and their families to help give them the chance to live a "normal" life outside the trauma damages of the job.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

Volunteer as a trainer for police organizations, with Westfield state college alumni association and with several other private organizations. Founding member of Behind the Badge and Beyond that trains and refers for treatment of first responders.
