About Me

I provide EMDR therapy for adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, emotional reactivity, and difficulties with regulation, confidence, or recovery after challenging life events. I work with both single-incident and complex trauma presentations. I tailor EMDR therapy to each person’s nervous system, history, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Within my practice, I have a particular focus on high-functioning adults and performers whose nervous systems are under sustained pressure. This often includes professionals, healthcare providers, leaders, and individuals who appear capable and composed on the outside, while experiencing emotional flooding, irritability, burnout, or difficulty accessing calm and clarity under stress.

In addition, I work extensively with athletes and performers experiencing performance blocks, the yips, loss of automatic movement, or fear of reinjury following injury or setback. Many of the athletes I work with are physically cleared and technically skilled, yet find their body hesitates, freezes, or overthinks in moments that once felt instinctive. Using EMDR, I help clients process nervous system patterns and stored experiences that interfere with trust in the body, confidence, and access to flow.

This work may include supporting young athletes facing their first major injury or performance setback, adults returning to activity after medical or physical trauma, and individuals navigating identity shifts related to performance, health, or career demands. Across all populations, my goal is not only symptom relief, but also helping clients restore a sense of internal safety, self-trust, and the ability to engage fully in their lives.

I approach EMDR therapy through a trauma-informed, nervous system-based lens grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model. I value collaboration, clarity, and pacing. I work to ensure clients feel informed, supported, and actively involved throughout the therapeutic process.

Education & Experience

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and an EMDRIA-trained therapist who integrates EMDR therapy within a trauma-informed, nervous system-based clinical framework. I completed EMDRIA-approved EMDR Basic Training and continue to pursue advanced consultation and ongoing training in EMDR therapy, trauma treatment, and performance-informed clinical work.

My clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults presenting with anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, performance blocks, medical trauma, and recovery following injury or significant life stressors. I have worked with both single-incident and complex trauma presentations, including motor vehicle accidents, medical procedures, relational trauma, and cumulative stress related to high-responsibility roles.

I have specialized experience working with athletes and performers across a range of competitive levels, including MMA athletes, Olympic-level competitors, professional golfers, and emerging talent in soccer, football, lacrosse, track and field, rugby, hockey, tennis, and other performance-based disciplines. In this work, I focus on addressing nervous system responses that interfere with automatic movement, confidence, and access to flow, particularly following injury, pressure, or repeated performance stress.

In addition to athlete populations, I regularly work with professionals in healthcare, leadership, technology, and other high-responsibility fields, as well as first responders and veterans. Across these populations, I integrate EMDR therapy with an understanding of how trauma, stress, and memory impact regulation, identity, and performance.

My approach emphasizes collaboration, pacing, and informed consent. I prioritize helping clients understand the EMDR process while maintaining a steady, attuned therapeutic relationship that supports safety, engagement, and meaningful change over time.
