About Me
I am a skilled and experienced professional counselor, holding a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. My pursuit of education in the fields of professional counseling and psychology was sparked by my passion for helping people, which was honed during my 22 years career in the United States Navy. During my military service, I had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about the world and the people in it. Through my interactions with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, I developed a deep understanding and empathy for others. This foundation of compassion, combined with my formal education, has allowed me to provide my clients with a genuinely authentic space based on clinically tested and proven methods, as well as common-sense approaches. As a professional counselor, I strongly believe that counseling is a collaborative process between the therapist and client. It is through this collaboration, that healing and change can take place. My ultimate goal is to help my clients empower themselves to be the best version of themselves and to live a meaningful and enjoyable life.
