About Me
I have experience working in a number of community mental health programs across the state of Vermont. During my work I gathered extensive experience in working with minors, families, and adults who’ve experienced trauma and attachment wounds. I use EMDR tools and techniques along with Structural Dissociation Theory (SDT) techniques to help support clients in healing their trauma and/or attachment wounds.
Education & Experience
I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England (AUNE). The program at AUNE is a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), which ensures that I have all the necessary educational background in order to be a more effective counselor for you. I have a background in working with children and adults whom have developmental disabilities, as well as other long-term disabilities. I also have experience with typically developing children and adults. I also have a background in alternative therapies such as drama therapy and sand tray therapy. I received my undergraduate degree at Colby-Sawyer College where I completed extensive course work in the field of child development and clinical psychology.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
