Ruth Fankushen, LMFT

Preferred Name: Ruth

EMDR Trainer

About Me

Offering short-term online therapy, I work to help ease anxiety, grief, and trauma symptoms. I am a Parnell-trained, Attachment-Focused EMDR clinician with advanced training in Complex and Developmental Trauma, Grief, and Trauma-Focused CBT. I value curiosity, compassion, and creativity. The tending of safe space has always been important to me. After graduating from college, I owned and operated a cafe that remains a community sanctuary featuring food, art, poetry, social justice, and music. During my years there, I also learned what it means to show up as an entrepreneur and as a public figure. I still enjoy cooking vegetarian food, making ceramic sculptures, being with my dog, and solving the NY Times crossword puzzle.
