About Me
I have been working as a Counselor in the field for over 10 years. I am licensed in PA, NJ, DE and FL; I offer both in person and telehealth appointments. I enjoy working with adults (18 y/o +) using both traditional talk therapy or EMDR, or a combination of both. I use an intentionally eclectic approach to individualize treatment but always incorporate a culturally aware, trauma-focused, systematic lens while doing what I can to dismantle the natural power hierarchy present in therapy. I like to use humor in session, while being direct and empowering. I believe in power of knowledge and incorporate education into my work. To me a strong therapy relationship is the springboard for growth . In the past, clients described me as genuine, grounded, straightforward and authentic. I identify as an individual with an invisible disability who is neuro-divergent and queer. In addition, I am a Jewish-American Holocaust descendant and first-generation American on one side of my family. I believe that these aspects of myself allow me a deeper understanding of minority stress and intersectionality of minority identities, as well as the impact that inter-generational trauma can have on a person without them even knowing it. Sadly, it seems difficult to make it through life without experiencing trauma. Knowing that, I try to acknowledge that every person is carrying wounds that are too often not seen or recognized by others but need healing, which I want to help achieve. I am LGBTQIA*, poly, and kink aware. I believe that BLM, all rights are human rights, and that you are stronger than you give yourself credit for.
Education & Experience
I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania and am currently studying to be a certified Sex Therapist at Council for Relationships. I began my career on the addiction side of mental health. I have since expanded my experiences to work on more generalized mental health, identity, relationship, and sex and sexuality concerns.
