Sarah J. Smith, LCSW-R
I have been a clinical social worker since 1994 and was trained in EMDR Therapy in 2008. I love to learn and found continuing professional development in EMDR really fed that passion. A large part of my journey has involved my own recovery from addiction, and have been sober since 1990. My personal growth has been essential. I strongly believe that I cannot provide therapy if I am not doing my own work.
Education & Experience
I graduated from SUNY at Buffalo School of Social Work in 1994. From that time until 2012 I worked primarily in community mental health agencies. I worked extensively with mental health and addictions. In 2014 I opened my own practice and have continued to develop not only as a clinician, but also as an EMDR Therapy Consultant.
