About Me

I am a passionate, lifelong learner who believes in the power and necessity of healing to create better worlds and futures. I approach therapeutic work from a genuine, non-judgmental, client as the expert on themself, integrative approach. I strongly value holding space and never take for granted the privilege of hearing someone else's story and struggle.

Education & Experience

I have a Masters in Social Work (University of Michigan School of Social Work, graduated December 2015) and bachelors degrees in Psychology and Sociology (University of Colorado at Boulder, graduated May 2012). I have experience working on a sexual assault crisis hotline, as mentor for adolescents (in community programs, a middle school in Boulder, and a high school in Detroit), on child and adolescent inpatient psychiatry units, in outpatient adult psychiatry, with veterans around opioid safety and suicide prevention, and in private practice primarily working with trauma and LGBTQIA+ folks navigating identity and gender-affirming care. I am passionate about Attachment and Somatics which I integrate into my practice. I have completed the Somatic Attachment Therapy certificate program from the Embody Lab, was specifically trained in Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR (SAFE) through PTI, and continue to expand my knowledge and training through embodied anti-racism work and somatic practices. Outside of EMDR, I also am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parts Work, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Self-Compassion, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
