About Me

What I have found to be the most rewarding in my work as a therapist is the ability to help others gain the confidence to break through mental barriers and overcome life challenges. By becoming more self-aware and awakened to the "chattering" of the mind that we so often mistake for reality, you are able to open yourself up to a whole new world of possibilities. These new insights allow for a better understanding of how beliefs and attitudes about ourselves, others in our lives, and the world we live in influence our daily lives. With a mindful and holistic approach, new choices become possible and personal growth beckons. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. These models provide an increased understanding and awareness of the influence of our thoughts and feelings on our behavior, as well as gaining insight into their root causes. We will work collaboratively in helping you feel more empowered to cope and engage more proactively in meaningful goals. I believe successful and meaningful counseling begins and ends with the amount of trust a client has in their therapist, as well as the significance a therapist places on the client being involved in the process of setting goals for treatment. I am looking forward to being able to assist you on your journey in achieving progress towards personal growth.
