Mrs. Sehrish Haroon, MC, RP, CCC
(she/her)
Preferred Name: Sehrish
About Me
I specialize in treating trauma, complex trauma and dissociation, and enjoy providing consultations for other therapists that are using EMDR. I am extensively trained in Structural Theory of Dissociation [Kathy Steele and Kathy Martin], IFS [IFS Level 1 and IFS for EMDR], CBT, DBT [intensive], Deep Brain reorientation and also enjoy using ACT therapy. I use a flexible and integrative approach to getting clients [and consultants] to slow down when feeling stuck in EMDR. If you're looking to address clients' defenses that come up during EMDR and ways to jumpstart trauma work when stuck, then I would love to work with you. I truly believe that the most important tool that we have in therapy is our relationship. I work hard at trying to understand my clients and consultees style and approach for therapy and provide interventions that match their needs and preferences.
Education & Experience
I hold a Masters in Counselling from the University of Calgary and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and an EMDR Certified Therapist with EMDR International Association. I have also completed IFS Level 1 training with the IFS institute and I am currently enrolled in IFS Level 2 training.
