About Me

Serena is a Licensed Professional Counselor and an EMDR Certified therapist. She works for Designed to Heal, a ministry-based sliding-scale Christian counseling practice. She sees each client as a worthy individual deserving of respect, dedication, and absolute confidentiality. She approaches each person with a faith-based, holistic framework that uses the Adaptive Informational Processing model to guide case conceptualization. Along with EMDR and the AIP model, she utilizes a mix of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Motivational Interviewing, Art and Play in treatment.
