About Me

I am the Executive Director of Willow and Oak Wellness and a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. My approach to practice is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centred care. I am passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children, youth, adults, couples, and families can explore challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful growth and healing.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring forests, lakes, and outdoor trails, and participating in community events. I also enjoy creating homemade wellness products and natural remedies, reflecting my commitment to holistic health, sustainability, and lifelong learning.

Education & Experience

I hold a Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work (BISW) from Laurentian University and a Law Clerk Diploma from Collège Boréal. Committed to ongoing professional development, I have received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, Theraplay, AutPlay Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), Brief Solution-Focused Coaching (BSFC), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and RedPath: Living Without Violence. I am also currently pursuing certification in Play Therapy to further enhance my ability to support children, youth, and families.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

As a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical and professional practice. I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and the Canadian Association for Play Therapy (CAPT), which allows me to stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements within the field.
