About Me
I specialize in EMDR and use it to treat my clients, struggling with a range of difficulties - from single incident trauma PTSD to chronic trauma from abusive or other adverse relationship experiences. My background in domestic abuse counseling led me to seek out an effective trauma treatment to help my clients find relief and true change. I chose to focus my practice on EMDR and it has enabled my clients to find a new freedom in their lives.
Education & Experience
Seven years practicing EMDR and a decade as a practicing psychotherapist. I worked as a domestic abuse counselor for nine years treating "victims" and their children and running support groups and parenting groups. Along with certification in EMDR, I am certified in TF-CBT and also trained in CBT and other modalities including Drama Therapy. I also have a background in hospice social work where I provided bereavement counseling and support to caregivers.
