Mrs. Shayla Gray, LMFT, LCMFT
About Me
I’m a mom, wife, business owner, therapist, teacher friend, and daughter. I am someone who moves through many roles and understands what it means to carry a lot. I’m passionate about supporting people who are juggling multiple responsibilities and learning how to prioritize themselves without guilt. Whether that prioritization means looking at the past, present or future. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and practical, with an emphasis on helping clients build clarity, balance, and sustainable habits that fit real life. Outside of work, I love traveling, baking, laughing, peaceful moments, and staying curious through continued learning.
Education & Experience
I hold a B.S. in Psychology (Virginia State University) and an M.A. in Human Services (Liberty University), along with certifications in Autism Education, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Couples-focused training. I am Harvard-trained in Couples Therapy and a PhD candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northcentral University, specializing in couples therapy and researching relationship satisfaction during parenthood. With 15+ years in mental health, I currently work in private practice supporting couples, trauma recovery, and adults navigating the prenatal transition.
