About Me
I offer individual psychotherapy for adults, primarily Black people and people of color, with a focus on trauma healing and treatment. I also support people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, and other stressors. I practice through a social justice lens and I believe that our experiences can only be understood within the political and social contexts in which we live. As part of our therapy, we explore how social systems and structural oppression have impacted your beliefs about yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. To support you in your healing and growth, I am trained and use several methods including Eye Movement Reprocessing Desensitization (EMDR Certified), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and somatic and mindfulness practices. I am committed to providing culturally-responsive and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. I meet with clients virtually as well as in two office locations in New York City, conveniently located in Manhattan and Queens. For more information about my services, email me with your questions or to schedule a phone consultation. I look forward to having the opportunity to work together.
