About Me

I’m Simone, a bilingual (English-French) person-centered Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy. EMDR-trained, I integrate therapeutic approaches shaped by my upbringing as the daughter of immigrants, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and understanding to support healing and growth. I work collaboratively with individuals and couples navigating infertility, fertility treatments, pregnancy or postpartum transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, trauma, or the stress of cultural adjustment. I provide a gentle, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive space where you can be seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Together, we will move at your pace to process emotional pain, nurture connection, and develop coping strategies that foster resilience, self-compassion, and a renewed sense of hope.

Education & Experience

Before entering private practice, I worked for the government as a public servant for ten years across several sectors, including seven years in the Workplace and Safety sector. It was during this time that I recognized my passion for mental health and decided to shift my career toward supporting individuals on a deeper, more personal level. To pursue this goal, I completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP), equipping me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to those navigating life’s challenges.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

In addition to my professional work, I am committed to advocacy and community engagement. I served as an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Ambassador, leading conversations with colleagues on topics such as LGBTQ+ justice, ableism, racism, and mental health, while fostering intentional dialogue to create more just and equitable environments. I also volunteered with the Ottawa Coalition to End Human Trafficking, assisting in advocacy and awareness initiatives, building networks with partner organizations, and helping to organize virtual events that highlight labour exploitation and its increased impact during COVID-19. Through these roles, I strive to promote social justice and support systemic change alongside my therapeutic work.
