About Me
You're successful, driven, and capable. You handle everything. But behind the scenes, anxiety won't quiet down, old wounds still sting, or patterns keep repeating no matter how hard you work to break them.
If you're a high-performing woman tired of just managing and ready to actually heal, Sonja Malcolm can help.
Sonja is a Licensed Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and private practice owner in New Jersey specializing in trauma and anxiety for ambitious women. She uses EMDR Therapy and somatic approaches combined with trauma-informed care to help you process what's been holding you back so you can finally move forward.
Through EMDR and trauma-informed work, Sonja helps you explore how past experiences, attachment patterns, and cultural influences shape the way you think and relate to yourself and others today. Together, you reprocess distressing experiences, reduce the weight they carry, and develop practical tools for emotional regulation and genuine self-compassion.
Clients come to Sonja when they're caught in cycles of over-functioning, perfectionism, or people-pleasing. They want lasting change, not just better coping skills. They want to remember who they are outside of their anxiety and accomplish what they've worked so hard to build without carrying the weight of what happened.
Sonja's approach is compassionate, culturally affirming, and deeply practical. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where you develop real tools for nervous system regulation, build self-compassion, and discover that clarity, confidence, and peace are absolutely possible.
Her work focuses on deep healing and helping you reclaim your life from the inside out.
