Sonja Rudie the President and Clinical Director of La Perla Counseling & Trauma Response Services, Inc. and has been providing treatment for critical incident stress, acute stress, trauma, sex addiction, and sexually betrayed Partners since 1997. Symptoms that go hand in hand with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, etc. are some of the challenges that can be effectively treated or vastly improved with EMDR. Sonja has completed all but the dissertation for a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology which is expected to be completed in 2022. With an extensive background in the aviation industry, and having previously held a commercial pilot rating, Sonja has also successfully treated clients who have had a fear of flying. She is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor, an EMDRIA and Parnell EMDR Approved Consultant and faculty member, and a Washington State Approved Supervisor. She provides CSAT consultation, Sexology consultation, and EMDR consultation for mental health professionals nationally. Sonja is the co-author of two books: Mending a Shattered Heart: A Partner's Guide to Healing, Stefanie Carnes, Ph.D., Editor; and Clergy Sexual Misconduct: Assessment, Treatment & Oversight, Rob Baker & John Thoburn, Editors.
