About Me

Hi! I have a strong focus working with adults and teens who have experienced multi and single event trauma, and are seeking support to ease the stress of impact, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and complex PTSD.

While I work with a broad range of trauma, I have a niche supporting survivors of sexual assault and violence, abuse, and neglect.

I often offer additional support for healing attachment styles, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, concerns regarding intimacy, relationships, boundaries, and effective communication techniques, and ADHD management.

The approach I provide is integrated, collaborative, and client-led via check-ins. Its important to me to provide ample space for you to express your needs during our time together, and to support your choices in how you feel most comfortable on your healing path.

Education & Experience

Prior to gaining licensure to practice therapy in both Virginia and DC, I obtained my masters degree in social work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and undergraduate degree in psychology at Penn State.

While on the path to earning my BA, I trained and volunteered as an emergency crisis shelter advocate for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Separately, I spent time conducting research on the correlation between nature and trauma resolution.

While earning my MSW, I created and ran a support group for survivors of sexual violence for students at UWM. During this time I was also beginning work as a therapist at my first group practice, and doing lobbyist work on the side, advocating for increased mental health services within Dane County, Wisconsin.

In 2023, I moved to Virginia to continue pursuit of licensure. I began working at a second group practice, gaining skills that have supported me to now have a practice of my own.
