About Me

Stephanie was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Texas seeking new adventures and warmer weather. She began her counseling career working in an intensive outpatient practice that focused on helping adolescents heal and recover from addictions. She has also had the opportunity to work in private practices and nonprofit community organizations as a counselor and director where she was able to help clients and families of different ages and backgrounds heal from several different mental health disorders - some to include OCD and hoarding, complex trauma/PTSD (betrayal trauma, family of origin trauma, domestic violence, incest, and sexual violence). Stephanie has also had the pleasure of working with couples looking to go through pre-marital counseling before a more long-term commitment. Stephanie's style is highly supportive, affirming, culture-sensitive, compassionate, and person-centered. She likes to focus on the clients' strengths and works with them in where they're at in their journey to help build a collaborate, safe, and non-judgmental space to work through their goals. When Stephanie is able to take her counselor hat off, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering at animal shelters, scrap booking, learning new languages, and embarking on new adventures throughout the world with her husband & pooch.
