Mrs. Stephanie Lynn Shores, LPC Associate
(she/her)
About Me
Stephanie loves to walk alongside clients who struggle with nervous system dysregulation in the form of depression, anxiety, difficulty with boundaries, as well as a variety of issues with sexuality and spirituality. Many of her clients have histories of trauma and abuse and find Stephanie a safe and trustworthy companion as they travel on their path to healing. Stephanie's approach to therapy is primarily rooted in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a mechanism for change. In her work with clients, she explores the patterns of relating that have emerged from clients' earliest experiences of relationships with caregivers. She incorporates EMDR into her work as she partners with clients to grow their ability to hold and tolerate the grief of unmet needs and explore their deepest desires on the road to healing. Stephanie has many years' experience living as an expat and loves to help clients who face the unique struggles of living overseas as well as adjusting back to their home culture. Stephanie holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling, and has done further postgraduate training in EMDR, EFT, and interpersonal neurobiology, and Object Relations Theory.
