About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified EMDR Clinician and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician who provides individual therapy and support groups. I specialize in attachment trauma, childhood trauma, birth trauma, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum and loss.
I specialize supporting women and families through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. I am a Certified EMDR Clinician, using evidence-based trauma-informed approaches to help clients process difficult experiences, reduce distress, and reconnect with a sense of safety and confidence.
Additionally, I support women and families navigating a wide range of perinatal experiences, including infertility, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, birth-related trauma, and the many emotional challenges that can accompany parenting. I strive to create a compassionate space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate both the expected and unexpected aspects of their journeys to and through parenthood.
My passion for perinatal mental health comes from a deep belief that the emotional well-being of mothers matters—not only for the individual, but for the entire family. I am honored to walk alongside women and families during such a transformative season of life, helping them heal, build resilience, and feel more connected to themselves, their relationships, and their families.
I am also a EDMR Consultant in Training and can provide supervision to those clinicians that are basic trained and are seeking support or going for EMDR certification. I enjoy working with BIPOC populations and specialize in working with first generation individuals.
Personally, I am a mother of two children and enjoy spending my spare time with my family and loved ones. I love to go on walks and find nature trails in my area. I love to sing as well and have recently joined my local community choir!
Education & Experience
I received my undergraduate degree (BA) in Psychology from Elmhurst College is 2012. I went onto obtain my Masters in Social Work in 2015 from Aurora University.
Professionally, I initially worked in the public school system supporting children with a myriad of social emotional needs. I then went onto work in private practice and specialize in anxiety and trauma based disorders.
