About Me
Suraya Keating is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Expressive Arts Therapist, Registered Drama Therapist, and EMDR Certified Therapist who helps youth and adults to be wildly self-expressed, joyful, and connected to their deepest self through an embodied, heart-based approach to psychotherapy. As a practitioner of Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Therapy, Suraya has loved adding EMDR to her practice as a powerful tool for compassionately transforming the stronghold of trauma responses into recognition of one's gifts, resources and resilience. Her work with others is influenced by years of experience with mindfulness practices, body-centered therapies, drama therapy-inspired parts work, and a vast array of other therapeutic arts modalities. Suraya works individually with youth and adults to help them access profound self-love, and to call forth all the underlying parts of themselves that want to be seen, heard and expressed. Suraya has extensive experience supporting individuals through challenges related to anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, PTSD, complex trauma, chronic pain, sexuality issues and other life challenges, At the root of Suraya’s client-centered approach is the trust that within each individual lies an inner healer that is activated by deep listening, compassion and love. www.suraya.org
