About Me

Trauma can look different for everyone, and it may not always be “Big T” trauma, as accumulated events over time can also have a significant impact. No matter the label, when trauma goes unaddressed, it can result in various symptoms (i.e. anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, attachment-related concerns, dissociative responses, and/or self-injurious behaviors), which can become overwhelming and confusing. It is important to know you are not alone, and we can work together to find ways to make these challenging emotional responses feel more manageable. I specialize in working with teens, adults, and specifically therapists. Using an integrative approach, which includes EMDR, parts work, and Somatic Experiencing, I assist in increasing the mind-body connection to more effectively target and reduce distressing symptoms. Through an attachment lens, I work with the client to assess treatment needs and the pacing of sessions, as to provide some challenge but not to overwhelm. Collaboration is a big part of the process, whether it's in the development of treatment goals or the client providing feedback throughout sessions. To assist with the comfort for this collaborative experience, I work to provide a safe environment to promote client curiosity and exploration and therefore create positive, meaningful change.
