Ms. Susan L Lester, LCSW, LCAS

About Me
I began my career as a social worker in 2003 working with clients in a homeless shelter in Washington, DC. From there I have practiced in a variety of inpatient, outpatient and community settings with children, teens and adults. My passion to offer hope and healing to others was born through my own story of brokenness. My desire is to create a safe space where my clients can honor their own stories and make the connections that lead to new skills and behaviors, resulting in a more balanced and fulfilling life. I enjoy spending time with my teenage children, cooking and going on long walks with my sheltie Lottie, who would love to meet you in the office! I received my Bachelor of Social Work with a concentration in family studies from James Madison University and my Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University with additional certification in addictions. I am licensed in the state of North Carolina as both an LCSW (P016172) and an LCAS (27334)
