About Me

Raised in Texas, I moved to Indiana in 1995. I have a passion for hiking, traveling, and mindfulness. I often find a way to bring all three of those passions to my therapy practice. Additionally, as a Consultant in Training (CiT), I provide coaching and consultation support for other therapists working toward their certification in EMDR.

Education & Experience

I recieved my Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Indiana University in 1998, and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2000. Over the years, I have provided therapy and behavioral consultation services to adults, adolescents, children, families, individuals with intellectual / developmental differences, and geriatric populations. I have worked in both private and community outpatient clinic settings as well as school, home, and work environments in support of client needs. I also have extensive experience in both virtual and in-person therapy environments. In 2018 I began my basic training in EMDR and I haven't looked back! I founded my private practice: Green Garnet Counseling, LLC out of an interest in providing an enhanced quality of care experience for my clients. Today, split my time between community mental health and my own private practice. I have particular interest in working with people experiencing medical and religious traumas.
