About Me
About Me
I was born and raised in France, and trained in France and California for the past 25 years.
Before studying anything related to psychology or therapy, I studied Law. I completed my French graduate education in Law at the Université Paris 2 Assas in 1989. I then practiced law as a defense attorney for 11 years, after which I completed another degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. Following my departure from France, I furthered my psychological studies and graduated with a third degree in Counseling Psychology from CIIS in San Francisco.
My family and I moved to California in 2006 as expatriates. Since then I've received clinical training in a variety of settings. This includes 6 years at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto working with culturally diverse families, and 2 years at Bay Area Community Resources in San Rafael working with youth in a public school setting.
Having previously worked with individuals and families for more than a decade as a family attorney and a public defender, I offer a broad range of experiences to my practice.
On a more personal note, I have raised three sons and two daughters, each of them vastly different. Now that they leave the nest and follow their own path with confidence, I understand with gratitude how my interests in the field of counseling have successfully influenced my parenting and marital journey.
