Tara D'Orazio, LMFT
About Me
I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to address issues like anxiety, self-criticism, and the aftermath of traumatic events. IFS focuses on understanding and healing the various parts of oneself, fostering self-compassion and inner harmony. EMDR, on the other hand, aims to diminish the emotional impact of distressing memories. I provide structure to approach these difficult experiences without getting overwhelmed, and a secure and non-judgmental environment, encouraging clients towards greater self-awareness and resilience. We'll explore personal strengths and past challenges, working collaboratively to build a more fulfilling and balanced life with you in the driver's seat. I provide excellent virtual therapy to all California, and have personal knowledge of Santa Barbara, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, and the Northern Bay Area.
