About Me

I’m a mental health therapist committed to helping individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, and PTSD symptoms develop skills to manage and desensitize issues causing pain. My work focuses on techniques to eliminate automatic negative thoughts through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and my training and certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) will help you clear out issues from the past so they no longer create problems in your present. As a former public school teacher and current adjunct professor of psychology, I love teaching ways to improve one’s life and handle challenges coming your way.

Education & Experience

I hold Master’s Degrees in Education (M.Ed. from Texas Tech University) and Social Work (MSW from the University of Texas at Arlington)and a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership (Ed.D from Kansas State University). As a Fulbright Scholar, and honors including Texas Environmental Educator of the Year and Southwestern College Favorite Professor of the Year, I have dedicated my life’s work to helping others.
