About Me
Vicki Leigh Braunstein, LCSW, is currently a Therapist, supervisor and focuses on Education and Program Development at the Saratoga Center for the Family. She holds a BA in Fine and Applied Art from Curry College and The Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, MA; an MFA in Dance from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA; and an MSW from SUNY Albany School of Social Welfare in Albany, NY. In 1992, Vicki completed a program with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) at the University of Utah. She became a certified yoga instructor in 2001 and taught yoga and meditation as an adjunct faculty member in the Dance Department at Temple University from 2001 to 2005. In 2010 and 2012, she co-taught a graduate social work course on Alternative Therapy, incorporating her expertise in meditation and yoga for mindfulness and self-regulation. Vicki is also a certified EMDR therapist and has training in EMDR-Play, Art, TF-CBT, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic and Neuro-Somatic Therapy. She has completed the "This is Your Brain on Food" certification with Dr. Uma Naidoo, focusing on the connection between nutrition and mental well-being, and has recently enrolled in the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) program through the Nutritional Therapy Association to help clients and therapists incorporate food interventions for mental health challenges.
