Miss Victoria Pitz, LMHC
About Me
I am an EMDR-trained trauma therapist specializing in the treatment of complex and developmental trauma, which often arises from prolonged relational stress, emotional neglect, or inconsistent caregiving rather than a single traumatic event. Many of my clients are high-functioning adults who appear capable and successful on the outside, yet struggle internally with anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, shame, or burnout. Using EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma-informed, nervous-system-focused care, I help clients move out of survival mode and develop a deeper sense of safety, emotional regulation, and self-trust. My approach is paced and collaborative, grounded in respect for the protective strategies clients have developed in order to cope and survive, while gently addressing unhelpful thought patterns and trauma-based beliefs. I also work extensively with first responders and their families. Coming from a first responder family myself, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to the unique stressors, cumulative trauma, and relational challenges that often accompany this line of work. I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, confidential, and deeply attuned to the realities faced by those who serve others.
