About Me

Vielka Almanzar is a bilingual (English and Spanish) mental health professional with nearly a decade of experience working with individuals and families of all ages. She specializes in addressing both the mental and physical symptoms of emotional distress, combining compassion with a results-oriented approach to foster genuine and empathetic therapeutic relationships.

Vielka holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from ISEP and has worked closely with psychiatrists to provide collaborative care including diagnosis and medication management. Her therapeutic approach blends evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neurofeedback, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), addressing both the body and mind for holistic healing.

As Chief Executive Officer of The Insight Clinic, Vielka leads with a clear commitment to client-centered care and clinical excellence. Under her leadership, the clinic has earned multiple recognitions, including Best Mental Health Counseling Center in Durham Region and Best ADHD Therapy Specialists in Ontario. She was also named a National Delegate for the Education Commission of the Dominican Republic, reflecting her leadership and dedication beyond the clinical setting.
