About Me

As a counselling psychologist since 2007, I have successfully treated adults, children, and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm and single-event or complex trauma, including adverse childhood experiences and motor-vehicle accidents. Along with talk-therapy and experiential techniques (e.g., CBT), I offer specialized training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a proven method at the forefront of trauma treatment. For EMDR, I use an immersive experience for my clients where you can choose how you process…even listening to ocean waves! As the founder of Begin Psychology, I believe these words wholeheartedly: “It takes just one step to begin…” So, for every struggle you're facing, imagine a time when you’re not. Notice moments of comfort, no matter how tiny they might seem, and know we can build upon them, one moment at a time. It would be an honour to walk beside you as you do.

Education & Experience

I have Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Counseling in Applied Psychology, and I am experienced in private practice, neurorehabilitation, and education settings. I maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, with a focus on helping clients realize their fullest potential.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, a Full Member of the Psychologists' Association of Alberta, and a Full Member of the EMDR International Association.
