About Me

I have always loved hearing people's stories. How did they end up here or there? Why did they choose to go into this field or that one? How did they meet their significant other? What do they think their future will look like?
As a therapist, I not only get the immense joy of hearing the stories of others, I get the privilege of helping them change their story and create a full and balanced life. What an amazing blessing!
I guess I should probably tell you more about myself, though. I was born in Gadsden, Alabama, but for the last 25 years I have called Haralson County, Georgia my home. My life has been somewhat long and full of periods of joy and sorrow, as most lives are. With that being said, I would describe myself and a traveler pointing other travelers to the places of rest and peace they are searching for.

Education & Experience

BSEd (Bachelor of Science in Education) Secondary Mathematics
MSEd (Master of Science in Education) School Counseling
EdS (Education Specialist) School Counseling
Looks like I was an educator, right. I was for 20 years. I spent 8 years as a high school math teacher, and 12 years as a school counselor.
In 2015 while still a school counselor I got my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) but did not use it until I left education in 2021 and started working in private practice.
