About Me

Deciding to go to therapy is often one of the most difficult and courageous choices a person might make in a lifetime; this decision is often made when a person is feeling most vulnerable. Those individuals deserve the utmost respect and admiration given the choice they have made - to ask for help with their lives. My goal is to provide that help, with warmth, empathy, and all of my professional knowledge. In harmony with your unique personal characteristics we work together in a deeply genuine, person-to-person connection. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I help people of all ages to cope with the challenges they face in work, school, and everyday life. I devote a portion of my practice to helping young adults, college and university undergraduate and graduate students. I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy into my practice. In addition, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and have seen dramatic results from its use, helping clients to overcome longstanding problems much more rapidly than with traditional therapeutic techniques.
