About Me

My name is Xochitl Rae Kladis, and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) counselor with over 10 years of experience. I hold a Master of Science in School Counseling from Texas A&M International University. I have been a licensed therapist/counselor working in the mental health field for over 12 years in both the educational and clinical setting. I work with diverse individuals, couples, families, and groups, and offer services both online and in person. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for all clients in my care using a person-centered approach and have special training and interest in working with trauma providing EMDR therapy as a helping aid. I currently work with students and families for the United Independent School District as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Laredo, Texas. I have experience working with a range of populations in a variety of settings. I have worked with complex trauma, grief, co-occurring Substance Use Disorder, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. Outside of work, I love trying out new restaurants with my girls and my husband, large family get- togethers, restoring my imagination through play with my special needs daughter, and exercising when I find the time! My future goal is to travel internationally at least once a year.
