About Me

My name is XT Belcastro and I am the Founder and Director of Rainbow Counselling, a virtual psychotherapy practice serving clients across Canada. I identify as queer and neurodivergent, and my lived experience navigating mental health systems shapes how I approach therapy.

I believe that your lived experience matters deeply in the healing process. My role is not to define your story, but to support you in making sense of it in a way that feels empowering, compassionate, and aligned with who you are. I draw from IFS, Somatics & EMDR in my work.

In my practice, I work primarily with individuals navigating trauma, identity exploration, relational wounds, and the impacts of environments that required them to disconnect from parts of themselves in order to cope. EMDR can be a powerful approach for processing experiences that feel “stuck” in the nervous system, particularly when talking alone hasn’t fully shifted the impact of those experiences.

My approach to EMDR is relational, collaborative, and paced with care. I aim to create a space where clients can explore their experiences safely while building deeper self-understanding and self-trust.

Education & Experience

I have a BSW, and Masters of Art in Counselling Psychology. You can find more information on additional relevant certifications on my website.
