About Me
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Latina licensed therapist who specializes in providing trauma-informed and person-centered therapy to children, teens, adults, and families seeking support through life's challenges. My special fields of concentration include supporting immigrant communities, crisis counseling, experiential and expressive therapy, and neuropsychological trauma work. I offer in-person therapy appointments in North Austin or online therapy appointments for anyone living in Texas. I believe in the deep power of connection. Healing happens in connection to ourselves, other individuals, our community, and our natural world. I support people in strengthening these relationships. Healing looks different for each person. We will get creative and explore different paths towards healing to discover what works best for you. I primarily utilize mindfulness, EMDR, somatic-based approaches, nature-based approaches, and experiential therapies such as expressive art. I firmly believe that healing is an act of love for yourself, your loved ones, and all those around you. You have all the resilience and power within you. I am here to support and empower you throughout this therapeutic journey.
Education & Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work. I hold additional certification in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). I am EMDR Trained and working towards EMDR certification. I am also trained in EMDR GAP, a stepped-care approach to address recent, present, or past adverse experiences. I have over 10 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma or other life stressors.
