About Me

Yvonne Judge is EMDRIA certified in EMDR and is also a Consultant in training working under Paula Lavocat of ICM. Yvonne received her basic training through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness under trainers Suzi Rutti and owner Jamie Marich. Yvonne Judge is the only Independent Marriage and Family Therapist in Ohio that is also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist through the American Hypnosis Association. Yvonne is currently pursuing her PhD and is always working on new trainings in her field. She sees clients in person in her office in the Columbus, Ohio suburb of Worthington and sees clients anywhere in Ohio via online therapy using videoconferencing software. Hello, my name is Yvonne Judge. I want to help you to achieve healthy change using a variety of therapy and hypnotherapy techniques. When you come to see me, I will work with you to understand the barriers that have kept you stuck, and work with you to change them. Let’s work together to allow you to achieve success at home, at work, and in every facet of your life. I am a licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Ohio. I am also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I enjoy working with couples and individuals on a variety of issues such as self esteem,  sexual issues, relationship issues, stress management,  anxiety, depression and PTSD. I completed my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northcentral University and am currently working on my Ph.D. there. I love research and learning is my happy place. I am EMDR Certified a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and am trained in a variety of therapies including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Counseling, Prepare/Enrich, SYMBIS, Attachment Focused EMDR, Family Therapy, and many others. I prefer to use what works best for each client. I do not try to fit you inside a box of my making. I enjoy working with several populations. I love working with couples because sometimes small, simple changes can save a relationship. At other times, the relationship issues are more complex but watching two people who love each other work to make their shared lives better brings me joy. I enjoy working with individuals with Anxiety spectrum disorders such as generalized anxiety, phobias, and OCD. These problems can make it difficult to get up in the morning, let alone get to work and go about your daily routine. I have had great results using hypnosis to help relieve these types of issues. I also enjoy working with trauma survivors and those with PTSD. Trauma can be difficult to overcome without external help. It can rear its ugly head at the most unexpected times and in the most unexpected places. Many people do not realize that their symptoms such as anxiety, irritability and always being on the lookout for things to go wrong can be trauma responses.
