About Me
My name is Zachary Thomas, and I am a social worker in Delta, CO. I've built my specialty working with youth who have experienced trauma in their life. I have learned through my years of practice that Trauma can be the root of many issues including: anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more. In order to best support my clients I have done my best to be well rounded having received trainings and certifications in a variety of therapy modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (trained), Motivational Interviewing (trained), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Certified), and Licensed Addiction Counseling (Certified). My goal is to help youth address their underlying needs early in life so that they can lead a fulfilling life into adulthood.

Achieved Bachelor of Social Work degree from Olivet Nazarene University in 2013 Achieved Master of Social Work degree from Indiana University Purdue University in 2017 I started working in the social service field in 2010

My primary employer is Delta School District where I provide psychotherapy services to the students of Delta High School. On the side I work out of my wife's private practice, Lighter Minds Counseling LLC.
