Dr. Ziva BenEzra, PsyD

(She/Her)

About Me

Born in South Africa, I bring an international, multicultural lens to the work. I am a collaborative and compassionate therapist who will partner with you to work through challenges that hold you back. For a long time, I referred clients to colleagues for EMDR. After witnessing how EMDR helped free clients from issues that had them "stuck," and the dramatic quality of life improvements that followed, I decided to train in EMDR. Where fitting, I incorporate EMDR therapy within talk therapy or utilize EMDR as a stand alone treatment.

Education & Experience

I am a clinical psychologist with decades of experience providing psychotherapy, supervision, and clinical consultation for adults and couples from a variety of backgrounds. I began my graduate training in clinical psychology in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and completed graduate and post-graduate training in Boston, Massachusetts. I've enjoyed practicing in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area since 2012.
