In this seminar, participants will delve more deeply into the use of EMDR therapy methods for containment and stabilization Presenters will describe how to pace history taking and considerations for target selection, before moving into strategies to increase clients’ ability to engage in trauma processing – for instance, through use of fractionation, and contained or restricted processing. The seminar will close with a discussion of some advanced considerations, including interweaves, and what to do when processing is blocked or stuck. Case examples will be used throughout the seminar to demonstrate strategies and deepen participants’ understanding.
