This program introduces the integration of EMDR with therapeutic storytelling when working with traumatized children. Therapeutic stories can provide children with a developmentally appropriate and emotionally safe way to communicate experiences, access internal resources, and organize traumatic memories, with the support of adaptive information processing. Participants will explore how storytelling can be used in different phases of EMDR treatment, specifically in, preparation, assessment, reprocessing, phase and with the installation of adaptive beliefs, resource development and attachment resource development.
